For AFTERIMAGE: The Journal of Media Arts and Cultural Criticism, I wrote “Documentary Untethered, Documentary Becoming” as one part of a group of articles called A Dossier on Collaborative Documentary Practice. My collaborators and I — Reece Auguiste, Aggie Ebrahimi Bazaz, and Patricia Zimmerman — gave ourselves the project to imagine new participatory documentary environments as creators and thinkers.
