Knocking on Doors
Production is underway, and we need you to help this important project.
Knocking on Doors tells the story of how young people today are learning and applying the ground-level lessons of organizing that built the civil rights and farmworker movements. Helen and her team will follow the story of the 2017 class of TOLA organizers — chronicling their successes and failures as they learn to engage and organize the citizens of Stockton, California.
This film will inspire people to see organizing as a way to build power and make progressive change over time. Against the backdrop of a historic process forged by Fred Ross, Sr., used by Cesar Chavez and the UFW, and carried on into contemporary politics by young organizers and volunteers, Knocking on Doors is aimed to spark dialogue and awareness across the country that yes, ordinary individuals can make a difference.
